FAQ's
Do I need to preorder a book? If so, how do I put in an order?
To be in line you must have a purchased copy of Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock. You can definitely purchase the book at any Indigo, Chapters, WBB or Coles location before the event. Remember to save your receipt!
What if I already bought a copy of the book? Will I be allowed to get in line to have Sammy sign my copy, or does my copy need to be bought at your store?
The book should be purchased at any Indigo, Chapters, WBB or Coles location or from www.chapters.indigo.ca but please just have your receipt or packing slip from the purchase of your book to get in line.
How will I gain admittance to the signing? Do I need a wristband or a ticket? If so, how do I get one?
First-come, first-served - no ticket or wristband required; the book IS the ticket. Save your receipt!
How early should I show up?
Up to you. The line will begin forming when people begin showing up.
If I can't make it to the signing, are you taking phone orders for signed copies?
No; if time allows, Mr. Hagar will sign additional stock that will be made available the day after the event and can be put on hold over the phone at that point for a limited time, while supplies last.
Anything else that I need to know?
No signing of memorabilia or body parts. Books only!

100% agree!!!! The Royal York was waaay better. I had my book taken from me at Chapters and got up there and he was signing another book, mine was already done. I basically didn't get to interact with him. The Royal York one was great and you got like 10 seconds to interact
This was brutal. Yesterdays book signing at the hotel was much better. This line up started early and they had us up and down between the rows of books. It was crazy hot.
I guess if I had not been to the one yesterday, I may not have thought this was so bad, but they were rushing people so much it was crazy. Much larger crowd, because this one was publicized much more.
The staff would grab the book away from you, hand it up to the table where Sammy was, shove the book at him and it was pretty chaotic. Security dude hadn't even let me go up to the table yet, I looked over and Sammy was already signing my book before I was even there. It was too rushed. It was too hot. Sammy made a comment to my friend, who was in front of me in line, "you people are making me sweat here!" I think Sammy felt rushed too.
It's great that he is doing these book signings, but be prepared for it to be over in an instant.
"Don't like standin' in lines
But we do what we do 'cuz we gotta do what we wanna do when we wanna do it
Each and every time"
Up Front Fanatics are used to standing in lines. It's the way we live, LOL!
