Birthday Bash is October 9, 11, 13, & 14th and Ticketing Registration Opens July 12th

It's what you have all been waiting for! The 2017 Birthday Bash regstration for random drawing opens on WEDNESDAY, JULY 12th at 10am PDT. The link will be posted on Redrocker.com as well as Sammy's Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
Registration for the random drawing will be open from:
Wednesday, JULY 12th at 10am PT until Tuesday, July 18th at 6pm PT
Ticketing will be similar to the last few years: to ensure the fairest opportunity to all Sammy fans and will be decided by a random selection. The ticket limit is 2 per night, per household and each show's drawing will performed independently of the other nights. This is what we have determined gives fans the fairest opportunity for tickets.
This means a single registration that specifies 2 tickets for all of Oct 9, 11, 13 & 14 will have equal chance of being selected in each night's drawing.
Winner's will be selected randomly on:
Friday, July 21st
Those selected will be notified via email which will include links to complete the purchase. Payment will need to be completed by Monday August 7th, otherwise tickets will be forfeited.
Any tickets not purchased by this deadline will be returned into a final pool of tickets that will be available in a traditional first-come, first serve, public on-sale date to be announced.
NO TICKET TRANSFERS ARE ALLOWED. All submissions will be verified and multiple entries are subject to having all registrations cancelled. Valid photo ID of the purchaser will be required to be shown at the venue.

My hubby & I are going to Cabo, Mexico 10/9/18-10/19/18 for my hubby's 55th bday (he cant drive 55). We were so hoping to get tickets. We didnt. I hope we can buy them. We usually go to the Tulalip Casino in Washington state, he hasn't posted a show this yr.We love sammy!

We got tickets!! Whoo! Hoo! But our friends didn't get selected. We are celebrating my hubby's 50th along with Sammy's 70th, so we need to get two more tickets. I am also anxious to know when 2nd chance purchase will be.

Matt, good news is that you got tickets. This is only my 3rd t and been going since 2008. Bad news for you is they are not transferable. You must show up with your ID with your guest at the Cantina to get your wristband. So my advice to you is change your travel plans. It's worth the extra bucks to see a show!! Congrats!
I didn't get tickets in 2014 but was all booked for the trip. After Odeile, it was devastation to all of Cabo. I wanted to try to go down to help the people of the Barrio. But, as we know, no flights and the airport was closed. I did participate in shipping a bunch of supplies to a friend in CA and he drove them down to the Barrio. Dry food, canned food, toothpaste, undergarments, dog food, diapers, etc. I traveled to Vegas and saw the show at the D. I didn't feel a bit of guilt other than I wish I was in Cabo personally to help the locals. I LOVE CABO!
I agree...rules are rules... If they couldn't make that date, they shouldn't have put their names for that date. They should be happy they even got in on any date...Congrats to all that got in...:)

By the way, the ONLY other time either of us hit this "lottery" was back in 2014 when the hurricane hit. I live in Vegas, so at least I got to attend the "makeup" show, but I really believe those of us who won tickets that year should be given a one-time opportunity to purchase tickets to the Birthday Bash show of our choice in the year of our choice. Seems only fair, as we were all set to go that year before Mother Nature intervened (obviously, the fine folks of Cabo suffered way more than we did, but still sucks that the ONE time we finally won is the one time in a quarter century that Sammy had to cancel).
Good news/bad news: My buddy won the right to buy tickets to the Oct. 9 show, but I got shut out. Trouble is, we were planning to be there Oct. 11-15, so really hoping to get tickets to the Oct. 11, 13 and/or 14 shows. Now we have to figure out if we want to rearrange our plans. I know it's a shot in the dark — and I know the ticketing system is super strict — but I wonder if there's someone out there who got tickets for Oct. 11, 13 or 14 that might want tickets for Oct. 9 instead, if they'd allow two parties who won/paid for tickets to switch?? It's not circumventing the system in any way -- would be the same people going to the BDay Bash, just different shows.

I have been going to the bash for around 15 years now, since the days of sleeping in the streets to get FREE tickets. Since this lottery method started, I have been picked for one show, one time, period. My friend that has been going longer than me, is in the same boat. After looking thru all of the comments, it almost looks like the first timers get the tickets, and us veterans are back to sleeping in the street for leftovers.

In the past there wss a way to check if you were selected...in the event you didn't receive an email. Anyone know of such a link this year? Maybe the link exists and i missed it. Hoping like others to be able to attend. It was difficult to book lodging that week in oct also because of the fishing tournament. Fingers and everything else crossed for me and everyone else optimistic for tickets. ;)

Good news, bad news: My buddy won the right to buy tickets to the Oct. 9 show only; I got shut out. We both tried for all four shows just in case, but our plan was to be in Cabo from Oct. 11-15, hoping to see the Oct. 11, 13 and/or 14 shows. We now have to consider rebooking our travel to arrive/leave earlier than planned. I know it's a shot in the dark -- and I know how strict ticketing is for the Bday Bash -- but I wonder if it's possible to "switch" tickets with another winner who might want the Oct. 9 show in exchange for the Oct. 11, 13 or 14 shows?

I agree about bringing on the 2nd chance tickets. 18 days to purchase tickets is a long time to see if someone is actually going to buy tickets. There are plenty of us already booked to go and are willing to purchase tickets now. Waiting to release the tickets until a few weeks before the shows makes it hard to plan our time in Cabo. If they continue to hold a lottery the winners should be required to purchase the tickets immediately the same as if they just put them on sale. It is easy to enter a drawing and not have any intention of buying tickets and that makes it almost impossible for us that are going to Cabo to be able to purchase tickets.

Well it is what it is. It sucks . Bring on the second chance lottery. We're already booked from the seventh to the 15th. It will be a One helluva party in cabo. Bring It on can't wait. Long live Sammy.
This was the first time I had ever entered for this and by reading other posts it seems to take several times entering before you get selected.... or is it really just luck! :( Maybe next year Sammy! :( Sad in Seattle!!
Unbelievable! Been doing this since this stupid lottery happened. Never once been drawn. Here we go again. Sure glad we purchased fixed week time shares during Sammy's birthday because the system was different. I know this sounds grumpy and bitter. I really do hope you have fun everyone. Guess we gotta find something else to do again. Sure wish that once a family was drawn, that their name was taken out until everyone got a chance. Still love Cabo so will have to listen to music at the pool I guess.
